Please join the Allegheny Valley Chapter for a weekend of learning how to make yourself and your business healthier while building new relationships and having FUN! A great weekend has been planned at the newly built Family Resources Retreat Center. We will be one of the first groups to use this beautiful facility located on 260 acres of fields, trails and a lake in Mars, PA, just a few minutes from the PA Turnpike and I-79. The weekend will include exciting speakers and activities that will give you an opportunity to relax, reflect, rejuvenate & renew yourself and your business!

The 2007 WBN Retreat provided great fun, education and fellowship for over 40 members who attended. The weekend consisted of mini-seminars presented on the following topics: “Legal Issues” was presented by Barbara Mohajery, Esq., Elizabeth Burkett, Esq., and Kathleen Schneider, JD, CPA; “The Power of Using No to Get What You Really Want” presented by keynote speaker Cathy Jennings of Career Kaleidoscope; “Creating a Bio” presented by Nadine Banks; “Writing a Press Release” presented by Angela Rose O’Brien of publication Inspiring Times Westmoreland; Building an Effective 30 Second Commercial presented by Donna Cheswick of BPU Investment Group Inc.; “Building Customer Loyalty” presented by Linda Hammers of Spirited Training & Consulting; and Health Kaleidescope presented by Anne Yearick, PT,MS of New Steps Rehab.
Fun time activities consisted of snacks, networking games, Yahtzee and creating personalized homemade thank you cards. During the weekend Judy Schafer and Brynn Adams made everyone feel very comfortable with chair massages. In addition to the scheduled lectures and fun activities, round table discussions were conducted where each member could share a topic with the group to work on opinions or answers to.
It truly was a wonderful weekend. The weather cooperated, the food was good and the knowledge left with was priceless.
