Woman of the Year 2006: Linda Ruckert
Linda
Ruckert, of the North Hills, and member of the Women’s Business Network
(WBN) East Chapter was the recipient of the Women’s Business Network’s
2006 Woman of the Year Award. This honor is awarded to one member annually
and recognizes the individual who has best demonstrated excellence and
leadership in her business or profession and in her service to the
community and WBN.
Linda is the owner of Linda’s Imprinted Products, a company that
specializes in helping businesses to promote themselves through
advertising and marketing specialties and promotional items. With over 13
years in business, she has built a base of customers ranging from major
corporations to small businesses. Linda is a certified Pennsylvania State
(WBE) Women Business Enterprise. She succeeds in a highly competitive
field by excelling in service and customer care. Linda has been an active
member of Women’s Business Network since 1994 and has served as Chapter
Chairperson and Secretary, as well as, on the Board of Directors during
many of those years. She has also earned the Honorary Lifetime Member
Award from WBN. She is a member of the ASI, Advertising Specialty
Institute and locally, TRASA, Three Rivers Advertising Specialty
Association. She has been a volunteer and has served on the Board of
Directors for Sewickley Valley Hospital and the Sewickley Valley Hospital
Auxiliary.
The Woman of the Year Award was presented at the WBN Annual Dinner held
on May 18th at Lighthouse Point in Oakmont. The Women’s Business Network
has approximately 300 members from Southwestern Pennsylvania and is a
non-profit organization whose mission is to build an effective
organization of women business owners and professionals committed to
integrity of performance and service as well as the creative exchange of
business.
